monthly favorites / September

It was somehow hard to collect all the favorites for the month of September but I managed to do it anyway. There you go!

Grāmata / Book “How to Be Parisian Wherever You are : Love, Style and Bad Habits

Book I haven’t read just jet but already so intrigued by a single quote. Can’t wait to put on my reading glasses : “Parisian woman never try to appear to be something other than what they are. In truth, more than wanting to look young – they want above all to become the best possible version of themselves, outside and in, at any age

Stabu ielas balodisThe Pigeon from Stabu street

One day I was going fast pace home to change my clothes and then out of nowhere – a pigeon just sat there in most beautiful place of colors and lines. Magic! Find the photo here.

Chia sēklasChia seeds

Lately I’ve been eating Chia seeds (for extra Omega-3 and fiber) like crazy. Mostly in simple Chia seed pudding (add a tablespoon of seeds in plane yogurt and let it sit overnight) with added banana slices, granola and it’s the most delicious thing ever.  Try these from The Beginings (200g) if you are a sucker for pretty packaging, if not – you can find them in Gemoss from Zelta Rieksts (500g) for really good price.

Laiks ar sevi – sev / Having time with myself for myself

Up until this month I somehow forgot to appreciate the moments when I’m alone. For the longest time I thought that being alone is the same as being lonely and loneliness is the most scariest thing. Something changed. Past month I spent plenty of time with myself and didn’t even think that it is some form of loneliness. I actually had the best time. Right at this moment this train of thoughts and feelings seems weird but at least I know that I’m not alone anymore…

Āboli / Fresh apples

It’s hard to imagine September without having a bite of freshly picked apples. As much as I love the taste and color of apples it’s the smell that I always enjoy the most.
